Complex solid acid of SO42-/SnO2-WO3/KIT-6 was prepared through impregnation method using KIT-6 as template. The solid acid was used as catalyst for the Baeyer-Villiger oxidation of cyclic ketones and the condensation reaction between ketones/aldehyde and diols. It was found that the synthesized solid acid exhibited promising catalytic activity in the two kinds of reactions. The introducing of the WO3 and KIT-6 increased not only the acidity but also the specific area of the solid acid, therefore, the catalytic activity of the solid acid was enhanced. In the experiment, the researchers used many compounds, for example, 1,4-Dioxaspiro[4.5]decane (cas: 177-10-6Electric Literature of C8H14O2).
