Functional acrylic resin based on the terpolymer of Bu acrylate (BA)-Me methacrylate (MMA)-glycidyl methacrylate (GMA) was prepared The terpolymer was treated with CO2 gas flow in the presence of cetyltrimethyl ammonium bromide as a catalyst. In terms of the carbonation reaction time, poly(MMA-co-BA-co-GMA-co-2-oxo-1,3-dioxolane-4-yl-Me methacrylate) was prepared in various yields of CO2 fixation (>90%). Phys., mech., and thermal properties of cured and uncured films were investigated. It was found that, for both cured and uncured films, the mech. properties were improved by increasing carbonation yield. However, their thermal resistance was decreased. In the experiment, the researchers used many compounds, for example, (2-Oxo-1,3-dioxolan-4-yl)methyl methacrylate (cas: 13818-44-5SDS of cas: 13818-44-5).
