Synthesis of acetals and ketals sodium hydrogen sulfate-doped polyaniline as catalyst was written by He, Miao;Zhou, Haixia;Zhang, Shaohua;Liu, Chunsheng;Luo, Genxiang. And the article was included in Xiangliao Xiangjing Huazhuangpin in 2006.Electric Literature of C8H14O4 The following contents are mentioned in the article:
A new environmentally friendly catalyst, PAn-NaHSO4 was prepared Cyclohexanone 1,2-propylene ketal was synthesized from cyclohexanone and 1,2-propylene glycol in the presence of polyaniline doped with sodium hydrogen sulfate. Several factors influencing the product yield were discussed and the optimum reaction conditions were discovered. Polyaniline doped with sodium hydrogen sulfate was an excellent catalyst. With n(cyclohexanone) : n(1,2-propylene glycol) = 1:1.5, w(polyaniline doped with sodium hydrogen sulfate) = 1%, cyclohexane 12 mL and reaction time 1.5 h, the yield of cyclohexanone 1,2-propylene ketal reached 92%. This study involved multiple reactions and reactants, such as Ethyl 2-(2-methyl-1,3-dioxolan-2-yl)acetate (cas: 6413-10-1Electric Literature of C8H14O4).
Ethyl 2-(2-methyl-1,3-dioxolan-2-yl)acetate (cas: 6413-10-1) belongs to dioxole derivatives. Dioxoles, particularly fluorinated dioxoles, are used as co-monomers to make polymers that find use in forming protective coatings for chemical resistance. 1,3-Benzodioxole can be synthesized from catechol with disubstituted halomethanes.Electric Literature of C8H14O4
