Synthesis of fructone over modified montmorillonite catalyst under microwave radiation was written by Dai, Shi-ning;Guo, Xiang-feng;Jia, Li-hua. And the article was included in Shiyou Huagong Gaodeng Xuexiao Xuebao in 2011.Name: Ethyl 2-(2-methyl-1,3-dioxolan-2-yl)acetate The following contents are mentioned in the article:
With microwave radiation, Et acetoacetate glycol ketal was synthesized from Et acetoacetate and glycol using acid-treated aluminum-cross linked montmorillonite as catalyst without solvent. The effects of catalyst dosage, reaction temperature, molar ratio of reactants, microwave irradiation time and power on the yield of the ketal were investigated. The optimum reaction conditions are as follows the quantity of catalyst in material is 3%, the reaction temperature is 100°C, reaction time is 5 min, molar ratio of ketone to alc. is 1.0:1.2, and microwave radiate power is 500 W, the yield of the ketal is about 71.9%. The reaction speed of microwave calefaction method is about 18 times higher than general calefaction method. This study involved multiple reactions and reactants, such as Ethyl 2-(2-methyl-1,3-dioxolan-2-yl)acetate (cas: 6413-10-1Name: Ethyl 2-(2-methyl-1,3-dioxolan-2-yl)acetate).
Ethyl 2-(2-methyl-1,3-dioxolan-2-yl)acetate (cas: 6413-10-1) belongs to dioxole derivatives. Dioxoles, particularly fluorinated dioxoles, are used as co-monomers to make polymers that find use in forming protective coatings for chemical resistance. 1,3-Benzodioxole can be synthesized from catechol with disubstituted halomethanes.Name: Ethyl 2-(2-methyl-1,3-dioxolan-2-yl)acetate
