Synthesis of fructone over heteropolyacid supported on activated carbon was written by Yu, Qing-yue;Yang, Yu-ying. And the article was included in Jiangsu Huagong in 2007.Safety of Ethyl 2-(2-methyl-1,3-dioxolan-2-yl)acetate The following contents are mentioned in the article:
Fructone (2 – Me – 2 – Et – acetoacetate – 1,3 – dioxolane) was obtained by acetalization of Et acetoacetate with ethylene glycol using phosphotungstic acid (PW) supported on activated carbon (AC) treated with surfactant as the catalyst. With the loading amount achieved 30%, PW could be well dispersed on the activated carbon because of the host – guest interaction. 30% PW/AC exhibited the highest activity among the PW/AC catalysts due to its largest acidity. The optimal reaction conditions were determined as 80 °C and 0.5 h while the ration of Et acetoacetate to glycol was fixed to 1 : 1.5, in which the catalysts could be recycle used for 9 times. This study involved multiple reactions and reactants, such as Ethyl 2-(2-methyl-1,3-dioxolan-2-yl)acetate (cas: 6413-10-1Safety of Ethyl 2-(2-methyl-1,3-dioxolan-2-yl)acetate).
Ethyl 2-(2-methyl-1,3-dioxolan-2-yl)acetate (cas: 6413-10-1) belongs to dioxole derivatives. Dioxoles, particularly fluorinated dioxoles, are used as co-monomers to make polymers that find use in forming protective coatings for chemical resistance. Dioxole functionalized metal-organic frameworks have also been recently reported.Safety of Ethyl 2-(2-methyl-1,3-dioxolan-2-yl)acetate
