Ionic liquid mediated aluminum sulfate: highly effective catalyst for synthesis of the acetalization reaction was written by Lin, Qi;Zheng, Huirong;Wang, Liwei;Chen, Yiting. And the article was included in Advanced Materials Research in 2012.Application of 6413-10-1 The following contents are mentioned in the article:
The acetalization reaction of Et acetoacetate (EAA) with 1,2-propanediol (PPO) was performed efficiently in ionic liquid using aluminum sulfate as catalyst. The synergistic effect between aluminum sulfate and ionic liquid [bmim]BF4 on the acetalization was observed An EAA conversion of 89.6% with the fructone selectivity of above 99.0% was achieved under the optimized reaction conditions. After the reaction was completed, the products could be easily separated from the reaction mixture extracted by di-Me ether, and the catalyst and ionic liquid could be directly recycled several times without a significant decrease in the activity and selectivity towards fructone. This study involved multiple reactions and reactants, such as Ethyl 2-(2-methyl-1,3-dioxolan-2-yl)acetate (cas: 6413-10-1Application of 6413-10-1).
Ethyl 2-(2-methyl-1,3-dioxolan-2-yl)acetate (cas: 6413-10-1) belongs to dioxole derivatives. Dioxoles, particularly fluorinated dioxoles, are used as co-monomers to make polymers that find use in forming protective coatings for chemical resistance. 1,3-Benzodioxole can be synthesized from catechol with disubstituted halomethanes.Application of 6413-10-1
