Complex solid acid of SO42-/SnO2-WO3/KIT-6 was prepared through impregnation method using KIT-6 as template. The solid acid was used as catalyst for the Baeyer-Villiger oxidation of cyclic ketones and the condensation reaction between ketones/aldehyde and diols. It was found that the synthesized solid acid exhibited promising catalytic activity in the two kinds of reactions. The introducing of the WO3 and KIT-6 increased not only the acidity but also the specific area of the solid acid, therefore, the catalytic activity of the solid acid was enhanced.
