Espinosa, A. published the artcileOxocarbonium ions: deketalization of 1,3-dioxolanes and other processes in nonaqueous media, Recommanded Product: 2,2,4-Trimethyl-1,3-dioxolane, the publication is Anales de Quimica (1991), 87(3), 391-5, database is CAplus.
Alcoholysis of [(hydroxypropoxy)ethyl]dioxolane I (R = Me) resulted in deketalization to give alkoxybutanones R1OCH2CH2COMe (R1 = C1-C3 alkyl). The deketalization indicates that the oxocarbonium ion intermediates undergo an oxirane elimination. The effect of alc. solvating power on exchange product yields was studied using I (R = H, Me). A linear relation was found for transetherification, transacetalization, and transacetalization-cyclization.
Anales de Quimica published new progress about 1193-11-9. 1193-11-9 belongs to dioxole, auxiliary class Dioxolanes, name is 2,2,4-Trimethyl-1,3-dioxolane, and the molecular formula is C6H12O2, Recommanded Product: 2,2,4-Trimethyl-1,3-dioxolane.
